In this interview, HPQ CEO Bernard Tourillon shared key insights into the company’s latest milestone, the signing of an industrial cooperation agreement with AD-VENTA Innovative, a French developer of high-pressure hydrogen systems.
The agreement strengthens HPQ and Novacium’s METAGENE™ program and accelerates its path toward commercial deployment.
Tourillon explained how integrating the METAGENE™ reactor into AD-VENTA’s operational high-pressure hydrogen station will reduce development timelines and significantly expand projected production capacity. METAGENE™, designed to autonomously generate green hydrogen from a proprietary aluminum–silicon fuel, is now expected to reach up to 20 kg/day, a major increase from earlier projections of 1–10 kg/day.
He also highlighted AD-VENTA CEO Jean-Luc Mussot’s four decades of experience in high-pressure hydrogen engineering as a critical contributor to scaling the technology efficiently and safely.
