HPQ CEO Says ENDURA+ Has Entered the Critical Customer Qualification Stage Ahead of Commercial Orders
In a new interview, HPQ CEO Bernard Tourillon provides additional context on the Company’s latest battery milestone and, more importantly, where HPQ ENDURA+ now stands on the path toward commercialization.
The discussion moves beyond the recently announced UN 38.3 certification to focus on the customer activity developing around HPQ and Novacium’s Gen4 battery technology.

✅ Multiple potential customers are actively evaluating HPQ’s battery technology. Tourillon clarified that “multiple participants” means HPQ batteries are being evaluated by multiple potential buyers, rather than being entered into a single competitive qualification process.
✅ Customer programs are at different stages of qualification. According to Tourillon, some programs are in evaluation and feedback, others have progressed into optimization, while others have reached revalidation.
✅ HPQ is deliberately prioritizing higher-margin drone and defense applications. With current production capacity still limited, management believes these applications provide a more attractive commercial entry point than pursuing high-volume, lower-margin battery markets.
✅ The qualification pipeline includes industry and government-related opportunities. Tourillon confirmed that government entities are among the parties involved, with defense representing much of that activity. He also indicated that one opportunity is believed to be in a more definitive phase, while another remains in testing and validation.
